May 18, 2025 - IRAN. Asghar Baghbani executed in Nishapur on May 18

According to Hengaw, at dawn on May 18, 2025 the execution of Asghar Baghbani, a 29-year-old man from Nishapur, was carried out at the city’s central prison. He had been convicted of murder in connection with a dispute over agricultural water rights that occurred four years ago.

The execution has not been reported by state media
