July 27, 2025 - IRAN. Alireza Mirforughi and Saleh Hatami executed in Isfahan on July 27.
According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, two men were hanged in Isfahan (Dastgerd) Central Prison on 27 July 2025. Their identitites have been established as 46-year-old Alireza Mirforughi (left photo) from Isfahan and Saleh Hatami (right photo), a 37-year-old Arab father of one from Masjed Soleiman.
Alireza was arrested seven years ago and Saleh, four years ago. They were sentenced for separate murders.
They were transferred to the gallows with another prisoner who managed to obtain a two-month extension to raise the 5 billion toman (approx. €50k) diya demanded by the plaintiffs in his case.
At the time of writing, their executions have not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
