May 12, 2025 - IRAN. Ali Abolhosseini and Asrar Amani executed in Shiraz on May 12
According to information IHR obtained on May 13, two men were hanged in Shiraz (Adel Abad) Central Prison on 5 May 2025 (according to Hengaw, on May 12). Their identities have been established as 32-old Ali Abolhosseini (photo) and Asrar Amani, an Afghan national.
They were sentenced for separate murders.
A source told IHR: “Ali Abolhosseini was from Abadan and arrested four years ago. He was a father to a six year old and was accused of killing someone during an altercation while he was working in Shiraz. Asrar Amani was arrested two years ago.”
At the time of writing, the executions have not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
