August 31, 2025 - IRAN. Akbar Abbaspour executed in Sanandaj on August 31
According to information obtained by Hengaw, Akbar Abbaspour, a Turk from Maragheh who was living in Baneh, Sanandaj Province, and the father of one child, was executed at dawn in Sanandaj Central Prison. He had been arrested seven years earlier on charges of murdering two brothers.
Iranian state media have not reported the execution.
