September 17, 2025 - IRAN. Ahmad Hashami executed in Miandoab.
The Execution Leads to Revenge Killings
According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, a man was hanged in Miandoab Prison on 17 September 2025. His identity has been established as Ahmad Hashami, 28, Turkish, from Miandoab.
A source told IHR: “Ahmad was arrested for murdering his brother-in-law in a fight that took place in Chahar Borj, Miandoab, two years ago. After Ahmad’s execution was carried out, his brother went to the victim’s family supermarket and killed two of his relatives in revenge for the execution.”
At the time of writing, his execution has not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
