May 1, 2025 - IRAN. Ahmad Darikvand and Hamzeh Alizadeh executed in Khorramabad on May 1

According to information Iran Human Rights obtained on May 6, two men were hanged in Khorramabad Central Prison (Parsilon) on 1 May 2025. Their identities have been established as Ahmad Darikvand and Hamzeh Alizadeh (photo), who were sentenced for murder in separate cases. Ahmad was arrested four years ago and Hamzeh five years ago.

IHR previously reported the execution of Hossein Shiravand, bringing the number of people executed at the prison to three that day.

At the time of writing, none of their executions have not been reported by media inside Iran.
