April 8, 2025 - IRAN. According to WNCRI.Org, three unidentified women were executed on 8 April in Mashhad prison. The news partially coincides with reports by IHR, which for that day and that prison speaks of 2 women hanged together with 10 men. Two of the women, who were not identified, had been convicted of drug offences, and one of murder. As of 18 May 2025, HoC has found no other sources to be able to say with certainty whether there were 2 or 3 women executed, but it still reports the news because WNCRI.org keeps a count of women executed from 2007 to the present, and it is a database HoC keeps as a reference point on women's issues in Iran. As of 18 May, IHR counts 15 women executed, WNCRI counts 17. Combining these two sources, and the other NGOs, HoC counts 17. These 3 women would have been the 9^th, 10^th and 11^th woman executed in Iran in 2025
