July 20, 2025 - IRAN. 3 men executed in Zahedan on July 20

Abdoljalil Derakzehi, Nematollah Shahnavazi, and Dariush Shahbakhsh (Abdolnasir)

According to reports received by Hengaw, in the early morning of July 20, 2025, the death sentences of Abdoljalil Derakzehi, approximately 35 years old from Chah-Ahmad village in Taftan County; Nematollah Shahnavazi, a father from the city of Khash; and Dariush Shahbakhsh (Abdolnasir), 24, from Golchah village in the Kurin District of Zahedan and also a father, were carried out in Zahedan Central Prison.
Haalvsh news outlet reported that all three Baloch men had been arrested in separate cases around four years ago and sentenced to death for involvement in drug trafficking. In the days leading up to their executions, they were transferred to solitary confinement. These executions have not been publicly announced by Iranian state media.
