Three prisoners convicted of rape in a joint case were executed at Gorgan Central Prison. According to information received by Hengaw, the executions took place on July 19, 2025. Hengaw has confirmed the identities of two of the executed individuals as Alireza Eshtarak and Mohammad Eshtarak, Baluch brothers from Aq Qala, Golestan Province. The identity of the third prisoner is still being investigated by the organization. Iran’s judiciary-affiliated outlet Mizan News Agency confirmed the executions but did not release the names of those executed. The report stated that the sentences had been finalized by the Supreme Court and subsequently carried out.
