June 2, 2025 - IRAN. 3 men executed in Ghezel Hesar on June 2
Alireza Shahbazi, Ali Karami Nasr (Qorban Karami-Nasr), Ali Abbasi
According to information received by Hengaw, at dawn on June 2, 2025, executions were carried out for Alireza Shahbazi—a 45-year-old Kurdish man from Kuhdasht and father of two—Ali Karami Nasr, 50, also Kurdish, and Ali Abbasi, a resident of Afsariyeh, Tehran, in Ghezel Hesar Prison.
Abbasi had been convicted of murder, while Shahbazi and Karami Nasr were sentenced to death on drug-related charges. Approximately one month prior to their execution, Shahbazi and Karami Nasr had been transferred to quarantine in preparation for their sentences. However, their executions were temporarily stayed, and they were returned to the general ward before being executed.
