INDIA. TEENAGERS SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR TWIN MURDERS IN 2003

an additional session court in Mumbai, India, sentenced to death Assis Domnic Warawale and Clint Ernish Fernandes, and gave five years rigorous imprisonment to Wilfred Dias for the murder of Leticia Xavier Mendes and her grandson Master Dylon Sunil Lobo.
According to the court, the group of teenagers decided to rob the house of their cookery teacher Leticia when they fell short of money. Whilst in the house executing the robbery they were unaware that Leticia's daughter and grandson were also in the home.
The boys slashed Leticia 13 times across her face and head with knives. Leticia's daughter, Glenda, was also attacked and mistaking her to be dead they then killed her 18-month-old son Dylon before leaving with cash and jewelry worth Rs.75, 000. The accused were caught by police who also recovered the three knives used for the crime along with cash and jewelry worth Rs. 67,000.
