eight prisoners were hanged in Zahedan prison, Human Rights and Democracy Activists in Iran (HRDAI) reported. According to the report, all the prisoners were convicted of drug trafficking and there were two women and two Afghan citizens among them. Three of those executed were identified as: Mohammad Sayeri (Siri), 40 years old; Gol Ahmad Heydari, 38, Afghan citizen, father of four children; Gholam Sarani, 39, Afghan citizen.
