the Appellate Division of the Bangladeshi Supreme Court, headed by Chief Justice Mohammad Fazlul Karim, upheld a 2008 High Court verdict commuting Azam Reza’s death sentence to life imprisonment. In 2005, a Dhaka Speedy Trial Tribunal sentenced Reza to death for killing architect and schoolteacher Jayanti Reza.(Sources: Daily Star, 07/03/2010)
