Judge Md. Mukhlesur Rahman of the Thakurgaon Court of Women and Child Repression Tribunal in Bangladesh sentenced Hossain Ali, 35, to death for murdering his wife Sahera Khatun on June 24, 2003, and fined him taka 50,000. The motive was non-payment of a dowry.(Sources: New Nation, 18/03/2010)
