a Saudi citizen was beheaded after he was convicted of murder. Hamad Al Shahrani, who was found guilty of stabbing another man several times with a knife, was executed in the Aseer region in the southwest of the country.
Former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has demanded in a legal communication to Bangladeshi authorities that the death sentence given to her by a tribunal last year be set aside as “legally void”, and that any further proceedings against her be conducted in compliance with international fair trial standards.
