a Bhiwani court, in India, awarded capital punishment to four persons for killing a widow and his two sons to grab their land in 2011. Additional sessions judge Sarita Gupta convicted 14 residents of Patwan village of Bhiwani district for killing Santosh and her two sons, Rajesh and Jaswant. Four of the convicted - Shamsher Singh, Dalbir Singh, Hari Singh and Kuldeep - got death penalty while remaining accused have been awarded life imprisonment. The deceased and the convicts belong to a family, said public prosecutor in the case Ramakant Sharma.
Police investigation had revealed that the accused eliminated family of the widow to grab their 18 acres land when she along with her two sons was sleeping on the rooftop on July 8, 2011.
