Iranian authorities have executed five Kurdish prisoners at Bukan Central Prison after they were sentenced to death on drug-related and premeditated murder charges. Hengaw has confirmed the identities of three of the executed prisoners as Rahman Mahmoudi, Jafar Mohammadi, and Salah Jang. The identities of two other prisoners who were sentenced to death in a joint case remain under investigation by Hengaw.
According to information received by Hengaw, the executions were carried out during the early hours of May 26, 2026.
Salah Jang had been arrested three years ago on charges of murder. The four other prisoners had been sentenced to death on drug-related charges.
The group execution has not been publicly announced by state-affiliated media.
