November 23, 2025: November 23, 2025 - IRAN. Unidentified man executed in Maragheh on November 23.
According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, a man was hanged in Maragheh Prison on 23 November 2025. The unidentified man was 36 and a Maragheh native. He had been arrested over two years ago and sentenced for murder.
A source told IHR: “The executed man worked as a municipal employee for Maragheh and was responsible for watering public green areas prior to his arrest. In July 2023, he was he was arrested for murder following a fight in the Shekari neighbourhood of Maragheh.”
At the time of writing, his execution has not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
