According to information received by Hengaw and Wncri, a woman, Narges Ahmadi, was executed at dawn on 25 October in Qom Central Prison. She had been convicted of murder.
According to data recorded by the Women's Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (Wncri), Ahmadi is the 44th woman executed in Iran since the beginning of 2025, an unprecedented record in the execution of women in Iran. In the whole of 2024, 34 women were executed across the country. According to the WNCRI database, at least 307 women have been executed in Iran since 2007.
The Iranian state media did not report the execution.
