June 2, 2025: June 2, 2025 - IRAN. Habib Almasi and Jebreal Hashemzadeh, two cousins, executed in Isfahan on June 2.
According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, two men were hanged in Isfahan (Dastgerd) Central Prison on 2 June 2025. Their identities have been established as Habib Almasi, 35, and Jebreal Hashemzadeh, 30, two cousins from Birjand. Habib was a father of two.
The cousins were arrested four years ago sentenced to death on drug-related charges.
At the time of writing, their executions have not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
