Professor Roger Hood passed away on 17 November 2020 after a short illness, aged 84. Roger was one of the founding Trustees of The Death Penalty Project and worked with them for more than two decades. He was a true leader in the field of criminology and a brilliant academic.
Roger’s lifelong commitment to seek an end to capital punishment, coupled with his humanity and unwavering support, inspired us and many others.
