MADAGASCAR RATIFIES ABOLITIONIST TREATY AND THE GAMBIA SIGNED IT
September 22, 2017:
Gambia signed the Second Optional Protocol to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, aiming at the abolition of the death penalty on 20 September 2017 and that Madagascar ratified it on 21 September 2017 together with the Optional Protocol to the Convention against Torture.
