IRAN. ARAB SEPARATIST HANGED IN KHUZESTAN
January 30, 2008: the prominent Iranian Arab separatist Zamel Bavi was hanged in Ahwaz prison in the predominantly ethnic Arab province of Khuzestan on the Persian Gulf.
Three other separatist, Saiid Saki, Ali Mazraa, and Andullah al-Mansouri await execution.
Â Bavi, Saki, Mazraa and al-Mansouri were convicted of 'armed insurrection'.
