Farhad Balashzar, Saeed Kahrari, Farzad Khirdar, Mohammadamin Salami, Meysam Karani, Seyed Arman Mousavi
The identities of six additional Kurdish people killed during protests in Kermanshah have been confirmed. All were killed by live ammunition fired by government forces, with their identities confirmed one week after they were killed. With these cases, the number of people whose identities have been confirmed as killed during the Kermanshah protests has risen to 30.
According to information Hengaw received on January 21,
- Farhad Balashzar, a follower of the Yarsan faith from Sorkhak Sanjabi village and a resident of the Pardis area of Kermanshah, was killed after being shot in the head with live ammunition by government forces on the evening of January 9, 2026.
On the same evening,
- Saeed Kahrari, a resident of Kermanshah, was also killed after being shot by government forces.
In a separate incident on the evening of January 8, 2026,
- Farzad Khirdar, a mechanical engineer from Kermanshah, was killed by live ammunition fired by government forces.
That same night,
- Mohammadamin Salami, from the Elahiyeh neighborhood of Kermanshah, was killed during protests after being shot with live ammunition by government forces. He owned a shop selling scarves, shawls, bags, and accessories in the Elahiyeh area near Bargh Street.
Also on the same night,
- Meysam Karani, a resident of Kermanshah, was killed on Tagh-e Bostan Boulevard after being struck by live ammunition fired by government forces. According to informed sources, he had held his engagement ceremony only days before his death.
During the same period and amid protests on January 8, 2026,
- Seyed Arman Mousavi, a resident of Kermanshah, was killed in the Maskan neighborhood after being shot in the chest with live ammunition by government forces.
