May 7, 2025: May 7, 2025 - IRAN. Rouhollah Moradiani and Maziar Karimi executed in Karaj on May 7
in the early hours of May 7, 2025, Rouhollah Moradiani, a Kurdish man from Kuhdasht, and Maziar Karimi, a resident of Tehran, were executed at Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj. Moradiani had been imprisoned for five years on on drug-related charges, while Karimi had been convicted of murder.
As of the time of this report, authorities have not publicly announced the execution.
