Based on information HRANA received on November 14, the execution of Ms. Dima Faramarzi, who had previously been sentenced to death for the murder of her husband’s father, was carried out in Mahabad Prison on September 30.
With the execution of Dima Faramarzi, the number of women executed in Iran since the beginning of 2025 has reached 51, marking an unprecedented record in the execution of women in Iran. In the entire 2024, 34 women were executed across the country.
According to data recorded by the Women’s Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, at least 314 women have been executed in Iran since 2007.
As of the time of this report, the execution has not been announced by authorities.
