July 7, 2025: July 7, 2025 - Florida. Ryan Cole formally sentenced to death.
On May 15 a Charlotte County jury recommended a sentence of death for the September 26, 2019 murder of a 15-year-old boy, Khyler Edman, during a burglary.
Judge Lisa Porter formally delivered the sentence. Porter sentenced Cole to death for first-degree murder, life in prison for first-degree burglary with assault or battery and five years in prison for burglary. On his case see also HoC 15/05/2025.
