IRAN - Hamed Barahouyi executed in Isfahan on November 6
November 6, 2023: November 6, 2023 - Hamed Barahouyi (Brahui) executed in Isfahan on November 6.
According to information obtained by IHR, a Baluch man was executed in Isfahan Central Prison (Dastgerd) on 6 November. His identity has been established as Hamed Barahouyi, a 37-year-old from Zahedan, who was sentenced to death for drug-related charges by the Isfahan Revolutionary Court.
A source told IHR: “Hamed Barahouyi was arrested for drug charges in Isfahan around four years ago. He was transferred to solitary confinement in preparation for his execution on 5 November. His last visit with his family took place that same afternoon.”
At the time of writing, his execution has not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
