SOUTH KOREA: COURT CONFIRMS DEATH SENTENCE OF MAN WHO KILLED GIRLFRIEND'S PARENTS
August 28, 2015: The Supreme Court upheld the conviction and death sentence of a collegian who killed the parents of his ex-girlfriend.
The man, 25, identified only as Jang, in Daegu, killed the parents and raped his ex-girlfriend on May 19, 2014. He killed them because the girlfriend wanted to break up with him. The court said Jang planned the murder carefully because he disguised himself as a plumber to get into the girlfriend's house. He stabbed the parents several times and raped the girlfriend when she came home later. The woman jumped off the building and was seriously injured.
The court said Jang did not seem to regret his crime because he blamed the girlfriend for the killings.
Jang became the 61st condemned prisoner in Korea. (Sources: koreatimes.co.kr, 28/08/2015)
