TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO: DEATH SENTENCE UPHELD
December 11, 2009: Chief Justice Ivor Archie of the Trinidad & Tobago Court of Appeal rejected the appeal of Marlon Taitt against his death sentence. Justice Herbert Volney in the Port-of-Spain First Criminal Court found him and Ijah Braithwaite guilty on May 9, 2008, of murdering Anthony McCarthy at East Dry River on May 16, 2006.
