            PAKISTAN. 4 MEN HANGED FOR GANG RAPE OF CHRISTIAN WOMAN

              | President Pervez Musharraf |   |  June 29, 2006: Shehzad Ahmad, 29, Muhammad Ashraf, 34, Mubarik Ali, 28, and Umer Hayat, 32, were hanged in Pakistan for gang-raping a teenaged Christian girl at gunpoint in the central city of Faisalabad on November 7, 1999. The four men, all Muslims, were convicted by an anti-terrorism court and the verdict was upheld by higher courts, including the Federal Sharia (Islamic) Court. 
"The men were hanged at 4:30 am," said a prison official in Faisalabad.
