The Florida Supreme Court is ordering new sentencing hearings for Ronnie Williams because a jury did not unanimously recommend the death penalty. The state court said anyone sentenced after a 2002 ruling could be eligible for a new sentence. Among those getting a new hearing is Ronnie Williams, whose jury had recommended death by a vote of 10-2. Williams, 55, Black, was sentenced to death by a judge on April 15, 2004, for that 1993 murder of a pregnant teen Lisashantill “Lisa” Dyke, 18.
