USA - Alabama. Alabama House Judiciary Committee passes SB 12 to use electric chair and nitrogen hypoxia

Senate Bill 12, which would authorize the electric chair and nitrogen hypoxia as alternate methods of execution, was reported favorably out of the Alabama House Judiciary Committee and advanced to the full House. The Committee did not act on a separate bill that would shorten the amount of time available for post-conviction appellate review of capital convictions and death sentences.
