IRAN: MAN HANGED IN PUBLIC FOR KILLING A POLICEMAN

A man (not identified) was hanged in public in the city of Khomein (Markazi province) on 31 October 2019, according to IRIB News.
At least one child is seen in the published photos watching the scene. He was sentenced to qisas (retribution in-kind) for killing a policeman 14 months ago. The whole judicial process led to his execution, took place in four months, which is a very short to deal with murder cases. According to Iran-HRM, a man, he too unidentified, and he too sentenced for murder of a security agent, was also hanged in public on 31 October in the city of Arak (Markazi province). Considering that the cities of Khomein and Arak are both in the Marzaki province (70 kilometers away), it could be a different way to report the same news.
