Hands Off Cain has promoted an appeal to the United Nations Secretary-General for a universal moratorium on capital executions. It is signed by thirteen Nobel Prize laureates and by dozens of intellectuals, artists, and public figures from around the world, and it preceded by several years the landmark 2007 UN Resolution for a moratorium on capital executions.
