UGANDA. MAN SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR AGGRAVATED ROBBERY

the Ugandan High Court sentenced David Katushabe, from Nakasongola, to death for wounding his neighbour while stealing a goat.
Katushabe stole Thomas Orech's goat at night and hacked Orech's shoulder with a machete when challenged by him. The judge ruled that this constituted aggravated robbery and sentenced Katushabe to death. It was reported that the two neighbouring farmers had had some land disputes in the past.
