The Virginia Supreme Court decided that William Joseph Burns will get another chance to prove that he is mentally retarded and therefore cannot be executed. Burns was convicted of the 1998 slaying of his 73-year-old his mother-in-law Tersey Elizabeth Cooley. The court sent the case back to the Shenandoah court for another hearing.(source: Associated Press, 15/01/2010)
