Kevin Varga was executed. Varga, 41, white, was convicted in the Sept. 8, 1998 robbing and killing of David Logie, 37, white. Varga’s co-defendant, Billy Galloway, 41, white, is set to be executed tomorrow. Varga becomes the 8th condemned inmate to be put to death this year in Texas and the 455th overall since the state resumed capital punishment pm December 7, 1082. Varga becomes the 16th condemned inmate to be put to death this year in the USA and the 1204th overall since the nation resumed executions on January 17, 1977.
