Judge Bill McCoy sentenced Michael Dean "Spider" Gonzales to death. A jury made the recommendation on February 5 (see) in the April 21, 1994, slayings of Manuel Aguirre, 73, and his wife Merced, 65, during a break-in at their home.(Sources: CBS 7 News, 07/05/2009)
