Billy Galloway was executed. Galloway, 41, white, was convicted in the Sept. 8, 1998 robbing and killing of David Logie, 37, white. Co-defendant Kevin Varga was executed yesterday. Galloway becomes the 9th condemned inmate to be put to death this year in Texas, and the 456th overall since the state resumed capital punishment on Dec. 7, 1982. Galloway becomes the 18th condemned inmate to be put to death this year in the USA and the 1206th overall since the nation resumed executions on January 17, 1977.
