A Travis County jury sentenced Milton Dwayne Gobert to death. State District Judge Bob Perkins sentenced Gobert to death in accordance with the verdict. Gobert, 37, black, was convicted last week in the October 2003 stabbing death of Mel Kernena Cotton, 30, black, at her apartment.(Sources: Associated Press, 10/03/2010)
