A Harris County jury today sentenced Garland Bernell Harper, 40, black, to death for stabbing his 38-year-old girlfriend and strangling her 2 daughters on Oct. 24, 2008. Harper, 40, was living with the victims were Triska Lashaun Rose, 38, Briana Roberson, 15, and Mya Love, 7. Harper was not the children's father.(source: Houston Chronicle, 18/10/2010)
