Cleveland County District Judge Lori Walkley formally sentenced William Eugene Davis to death. A jury returned the death penalty for the 53-year-old Davis on Feb. 19 (see) after finding him guilty of 3 counts of 1st-degree murder. Davis was convicted of the Sept. 4, 2007, slayings of siblings 52-year-old Tami Link, her 56-year-old sister Sheila Ellis and Link's 87-year-old mother-in-law, Letannah Bishop.
