Butler County Common Pleas Judge Michael Sage sentenced Calvin McKelton to death, following the Oct. 22 (see) jury’s recommendation. McKelton, 33, black, was found guilty of strangling Margaret “Missy” Allen, a girlfriend, in July 2008 and for the February 2009 shooting death of Germaine Evans Sr., who witnessed the first crime, fearing she could talk to the police.(source: Middletown Press, Cincinnati Enquirer, 02/11/2010)
