A Stark County jury has recommended the death penalty for James Mammone III. Mammone, 36, white, was convicted last week of 3 counts of aggravated murder in the June 8, 2009 slayings of his 2 children, Macy, 5, and James, 3, and former mother-in-law Margaret Eakin, 57. Mammone has confessed, and said he preferred to have the children dead than to see their parents divorced.(source: Associated Press, NewsNet5, 20/01/2010)
