Circuit Judge Mallory D. Cooper sentenced Randall Deviney to death. A jury convicted Deviney, 20, white, and on March 18 (see) recommended that he be given the death penalty. He was 18 when, on August 5, 2008, he killed Dolores Futrell, 65, black, during a burglary.(source: Florida Times-Union, 11/06/2010)
