A Polk County jury recommended 7-5 that Eric Rodriguez, 23, white, should die for the Jan. 3, 2007 slaying of Angelia "Angel" Headrick, 17, white. The girl was keeping her boyfriend's drug-selling business going while he was in custody. Rodriguez and two other men, Gary Michael Glisson and Jarvis Mosley, convinced Headrick to drive them to a deserted road for an ambush to steal her $500 and some cocaine and marijuana. Mosley, 26, accepted a 15-year prison sentence in exchange for testifying against Rodriguez and Glisson. Glisson, 32, has not yet gone to trial.
