A jury has recommended 8-4 the death penalty for Rasheem Dubose. Dubose, 25, black, was convicted last month of first-degree murder in the drive-by shooting death of an 8-year-old girl. His brothers, 23-year-old Terrell Dubose and 21-year-old Tajuane Dubose, have already been sentenced to life in prison. They were convicted of first-degree murder in a separate trial in January. DreShawna Davis was killed after 29 shots were fired into her grandmother's home in July 2006 in what authorities called a retaliatory drive-by strike against a her uncle.
