The Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals threw out Henry Duncan's guilty verdict and death sentence, saying his trial lawyer provided ineffective assistance of counsel. Duncan was sentenced in 1986 to death in the Nov. 14, 1984, killing of Josephine Eileen DeBaun, 28, during a midnight robbery.(sources: Associated Press, Daily Breeze, 24/06/2008)
