Riverside County Superior Court Judge Richard Erwood sentenced Christopher Guy Jasso to death. Jasso, 37, hispanic, was convicted of 1st-degree murder for gunning down Carlos Rafael Cuellar Cardona, 30, on Sept. 7, 2003. Fabian Perez, 26, is also charged with murder in Cardona's killing. He will be tried separately. A jury had recommended the death sentence on Dec. 21 (see).(source: KPSP News, Associated Press, 08/01/2010)
